COMPOSITION :
Proson® Cream 0.05%, each g contains : Betamethasone dipropionate equivalent to Betamethasone 0.5 mg.
DESCRIPTIONS :
Proson® contains Betamethasone dipropionate (equivalent to Betamethasone) as its active ingredient, available in 5 g and 15 g cream dosage form.
INDICATIONS :
Proson® is usually for the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of resistant or severe psoriasis and other corticosteroid responsive dermatoses.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION :
Apply a thin film to cover completely the affected area, once or twice daily, morning and night. However, treatment should not be continued for > 4 weeks without patient re-evaluation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Patients who have sensitivity to any ingredients of this drug.
Patients with viral disease, bacteria and fungal skin infection, acne, rosacea and perioral dermatitis.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS :
Discontinue treatment, if irritation or sensitization develops.
If infections is present, administer appropriate therapy.
If a favorable response does not occur promptly, discontinue corticosteroid until infection is controlled.
Any side effect reported following use of systemic corticosteroid may occur, especially in infants and children < 12 years old.
Systemic absorption will increase if extensive body areas are treated.
Do not to use under occlusive dressings.
Avoid extensive or prolonged use.
Not for ophthalmic use.
Avoid contact with mucous membrane and eye.
Do not use in pregnant women in large amounts or for prolonged use.
Use with caution in nursing women.
ADVERSE REACTIONS :
General adverse reactions reported with topical corticosteroid therapy including itching, burning, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acne-inform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, secondary infection, skin athropy, striae, miliaria.
Most frequent adverse effects of cream are mild to moderate are transient burning/stinging, dry skin, pruritus and irritations.
