COMPOSITION :
Betahistine Mesilate Tablet 6 mg, each tablet contains : Betahistine mesilate 6 mg
DESCRIPTIONS :
Betahistine Mesilate contains Betahistine mesilate as active ingredient is available in tablet.
INDICATIONS :
Vertigo and dizziness associated with the following diseases :
- Meniere’s disease
- Meniere’s syndrome
- Peripheral vertigo
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONS :
Adults :
1 – 2 tablets (6 – 12 mg of Betahistine mesilate) 3 times daily, taken orally after each meal.
The dose should adjusted according to the age of patient and severity of symptoms.
CONTRAINDICATION :
Contraindicated to the patients with pheochromocytoma.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS :
- Careful dosage is necessary if the patient has : A history of digestive ulcer or an active digestive ulcer, bronchial asthma.
- Use in pregnancy : The drug should be administered to patients who are or may be, pregnant only if the expected therapeutic benefit is thought to outweigh any possible risk.
ADVERSE REACTIONS :
- Gastrointestinal : Nausea, vomiting or other gastrointestinal disturbances may occur in common cases.
- Hypersensitivity : Hypersensitivity reactions, such as rash may occur in common cases.
