Dosage Form

Indication
Repiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, intra-abdominal infection, gynaecological infection, skin infection, blood infection, nosocomimal infection
Dosage and Administration
Adult:
Pneumonia, UTI, gynaecological infections: 500 mg IV every 8 hours
Pneumonia, peritonitis, presumed infections in neutropenic patients and septicaemia: 1 g every 8 hours
Meningitis: 2 g every 8 hours
Children:
> 3 months up to 12 yr: 10 – 20 mg/kg every 8 hours
> 50 kg body weight: 40 mg/kg every 8 hours
Storage Condition
Store below 30°C, protect from light
After reconstitution
solutions stable for 8 hours at temperature below 25°C or for 48 hours at 2 – 8°C
