Cefepime HCl Arginine ~ Cefepime 1 g / vial
Dosage Form
Powder for injection
Indication
Repiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, intra-abdominal infection, gynaecological infection, and skin infection
Dosage and Administration
UTI (mild to moderate): 0,5 -1 g 2 times daily for 7 up to 10 days
UTI (severe): 2 g, 2 times daily for 10 days
Pneumonia (moderate – severe): 1 g – 2 g, 2 times daily for 10 days
Skin and skin structure infection: 2 g every 12 hours for 10 days
Empiric treatment in febrile neutropenia: 2 g every 8 hours for 7 days
Intra-abdominal infection with complication: 2 g, 2 times daily for 7 up to 10 days
Children: The above dosage can be used for children that have weight over 40 kg,
For children under 40 kg: 50 mg/kg every 12 hours. (beside febrile neutropenia)
Febrile neutropenia 40 kg: 50 mg/kg every 8 hours.
Storage Condition
Store below 25°C, and dry place, protect from light
After reconstitution, solution stable for 24 hours at temperature below 25°C, or for 7 days in a refrigerator (2 – 8°) C
